Designer Recruitment are seeking a Kitchen Designer to work with a luxury Italian kitchen company in London. Our client requires someone who is used to working on bespoke kitchen and wardrobe projects in the luxury market and someone who is technically sound and sales and design-focused.
This is a permanent position paying £35,000 - £45,000 + commission for the right Kitchen Designer.
Working hours: Monday to Friday
Kitchen Designer duties:
- Selling and designing bespoke Italian kitchens and furniture
- Analyse floor plans and classify unit types, wardrobes, and appliances to generate quantity take-offs
- Prepare and organise kitchen and wardrobe typologies, based on spec tiers and layout similarities
- Prepare tender documents: layouts, specification breakdowns, palette proposals, and pricing summaries
- Work closely with the Italian factory and internal commercial team to request and review pricing
- Coordinate with the internal team, suppliers and clients
- Use spreadsheets to manage pricing, quantities, and revisions across multiple projects
- Prepare and present project-specific presentation packs for HNW clients
- Cross-check specs with appliances, worktops, and finishes to ensure technical and cost compatibility
- Prepare high-quality client presentations and support design team meetings with relevant visuals
- Organise and update project folders with layouts, finishes, and product codes for each unit type
- Coordinate with relevant team leads to flag service clashes, missing drawings, or scope inconsistencies
- Ensure accuracy across all documents shared with clients
Essential Skills and Experience for the Kitchen Designer:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in kitchen design in luxury interiors
- Strong proficiency in Excel – comfortable working with formulas, quantities, and structured data
- Good working knowledge of kitchen detailing – especially units, internal fittings, appliance integration, and service zones
- Familiarity with appliances (Neff, Siemens, Bosch etc.) and worktop materials (laminate, quartz, compact etc.)
- Experience using kitchen design software such as: Metron (desired but not essential), Winner Design and Revit (preferred for layouts and coordination)
- Ability to work across multiple live projects with shifting priorities
- Structured mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple project timelines
- Commercial awareness — understanding how design choices affect pricing and lead times
- Fluent in preparing clear, structured documents and presentations for client reviews
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Highly responsible and take full ownership of assigned tasks, showing initiative in identifying issues, proposing solutions, and pushing projects forward.

• Familiarity with premium kitchen brands
• Experience preparing client-facing documents or presentations
• Italian language skills helpful, but not required
