Designer Recruitment are seeking a Kitchen Designer for a independent kitchen design company in the Northumberland area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that really puts their staff first and offers some excellent earning potential. 

You’ll guide customers from their first consultation through to final installation, building strong relationships and delivering an excellent experience throughout. 

This is a permanent role offering £27,000 - £30,000 + Commission. Current staff members earn over £80,0000 in total. 

Kitchen Designer duties:

• Understanding each customer’s needs, preferences and budget. 

• Creating accurate kitchen layouts and design presentations using CAD software. 

• Helping customers choose cabinetry, worktops, appliances and finishes. 

• Preparing clear quotations and explaining design options with confidence. 

• Following up enquiries, developing sales opportunities and achieving agreed targets. 

• Working closely with colleagues and installation teams to ensure designs are clearly communicated. 

• Managing multiple projects, keeping accurate records and meeting deadlines. 

The Kitchen Designer: 

You’ll bring creativity, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to customer service. You’ll enjoy working in a sales environment and know how to build trust, offer practical advice and help customers make confident decisions. 

We’re looking for: 

• Previous experience in kitchen design and the kitchen industry — essential. 

• Proficiency in kitchen design software such as Winner, with AutoCAD experience also valued. 

• A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Excellent organisation and time management. 

• A professional, approachable manner and a collaborative attitude. 

• A proactive, flexible approach and pride in delivering work to a high standard.
