Designer Recruitment are seeking a Contract Kitchen Designer in the South Cheshire area to work with a dedicated team delivering projects solely for the contract kitchen market in the UK.
The role will incorporate undertaking projects from small developer schemes through to large scale developments with National house builders.
This is a permanent role paying up to £33,000 per annum for the right level of experience.
Reporting to the Contracts Design Manager &and Contracts Director.
Contract Kitchen Designer duties:
- Creating and developing high-quality designs suitable for volume installations
- Offering support and advice on projects
- Management of project status for each designer
- Allocation of workload and delegation of projects
- People management, support and development
- Ensuring the clients’ requirements and expectations are met within the designs and quotations issued
- Communicating and building relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
- Effectively managing the design process from start to finish (From tendering, clients changes, receiving orders, and managing the ordering process to hand over to other departments)
- Report ingto Contracts Director with weekly updates and progress of jobs
- Using internal systems including reporting tools
- Meeting strict developer deadlines
- Drawing new plans/designs based on client brief
- Producing quotes and specifications based off clients brief and to showcase the products being offered in the tender proposal
- Ordering products, checking acknowledgements/ liaising with our manufacturing colleagues and suppliers
- Completing technical drawings for client projects and presenting designs to clients
- Supporting marketing activities and working with the team on tenders and related documents
- Engaging with clients and ensuring they receive the highest level of customer service
- Dealing with client enquiries throughout a project
This role is a Contract Kitchen Designer role working in our client's contracts team to deliver volume designs for developers and house builders. This role reports to the Contracts Design Manager & Contracts Director.
Desired requirements for the Contract Kitchen Designer:
- Degree in design related discipline, or equivalent qualifification
- Previous design experience in the kitchen design industry preferable within the contracts Industry
- (5 Years’ Experience - Preferable)
- Leadership / People Management experience (Minimum team leader experience of 2-3 Years)
- Customer service experience
- CAD software knowledge (Winner desirable)
- German Kitchen experience – preferable
- Capable of using Microsoft Application such as Word & Outlook. (Advanced in Excel)
